DWA Papillon, 2025 Rides

DWA Papillon (Monarch AH X DWA Croix Blanche by Ala Croixnoire), owned and ridden by Connie Holloway, completed seven rides in the 

2025 season:  Antelope Island, 50 miles, 9th place; Eagle Canyon, 50 miles, 3rd place; City of Rocks, 50 miles, 8th place; Mt. Adams, 

50 miles, 3rd place day one;  Mt. Adams, 25 miles, 1st place & BC, day two;  Old Selam, 50 miles, 7th place and received the 

AHA Distance Nationals Reserve Champion Award for the 50 mile ride.         Photos by Merri Melde,

Chicken Creek XP Pioneer, day one 25 mile ride, 2nd place, ridden by Gregory Smyteh;  

Barefoot in New Mexico, day one 50 mile ride, 5th place, ridden by Jay Brunjes.

This was the first endurance season for both horses.   

DWA Haffirs Tika (Haffir el Rimal X LZP Royal Tiki by Sam Tiki) completed eight rides in the 2025 season.  Her owner, Gretchen Montgomery 

rode her in five of the rides:  Twenty Mule Team 100 mile ride, 10th place;  Nevada Derby 50 mile ride, 18th place;  Treasure of Sierra Madre 

50 mile ride, 7th place;  Fall Fiesta 50 mile ride, 12th place; and Turkey Chaser 25 mile ride.  DWA Haffirs Tika also completed the Fire 

Mountain Pioneer 50 mile ride on day one and the 25 mile ride on day two;  the Sesenta Anos Pioneer 50 mile ride on day two.

DWA Hercules (Moment of Valor X Artemis Kaolino by Kaolino), owned and ridden by Lindsay Fisher, completed four rides in the 2025 season:  Eagle Canyon 50 mile ride, 4th place;  Mary & Anna Memorial 75 mile ride, 2nd place and BC award;  Old Selam Pioneer 50 mile ride on 

day one where they received the AHA Distance Nationals Top Ten Award;  Old Selam 25 mile ride on day two, 9th place.  

DWA Diva (NF Proof X DWA Croix Blanche by Ala Croixnoire), owned and ridden by Hailey Fisher, completed three rides in the 2025 season:

Eagle Canyon 50 mile ride, 5th place;  Old Selam 50 mile ride on day one where they received the AHA Distance Nationals

Rosies Atlas (DWA Ziffalat by Falat X Pastelle Roses by Monarch AH) ridden by Tamara Baysinger (owner Layne Lewis)

 completed five rides in the 2025 season, including the Tevis Cup:  Rides of March 50 mile ride, 3rd place;  Eagle Canyon 

day one 50 mile ride, 1st place;  Tevis Cup 100 mile ride, 21st place;  Old Selam Pioneer day two 50 mile ride, 3rd place;

Left photo:  DWA Nadra+ (Falina des Fabries by Dormane X Royal Perrfection by Monarch AH) completed two rides in the 2025 

season with her owner Anne Aganon:  City of Rocks day one 25 mile ride, 6th place;  Old Seam Pioneer day one 50 mile ride.

DWA Nadra+ has 1,590 endurance miles, 365 LD miles and received the AERC Decade Team Award with Anne in 2024.
